Earth is the only planet that can harbor life.
Our Mother Earth is currently facing a life-threatening issue like global warming, air pollution, acid rain, ozone layer depletion, soil erosion, and climate change that really affect life on the planet. Modernization and industrialization brought human comfort and mileage of changes but ruined the environment in return.
People around the globe are working together to ease and solve this gigantic problem. Conservation and protection of the environment is primarily the solution to this matter.
Due to these pressing environmental issues, the Department of Education introduced a program for the awareness of every one on environment conservation. Annually, a Science Fair is held in every district.
In participation to this DepEd program, the District of Orion held its District Science and Technology Fair last September 16, 2016 at Orion Elementary School. All schools participated in the said event together led by their supportive school heads. At 8:00 AM, the program started with some short messages and clarifications on the mechanics of the contest. After the program, the participants proceeded to their designated places. The Quiz Masters, proctors, timers and scorers got ready and the Sci-Quiz began. Meanwhile, at the Teachers Hall, the mechanics of the Sci-Art contest were clarified by the proctor; the judges were also there ready for the contest. Awarding started at 1:00 pm. Winners of the said contest cheered their victory together with their proud coaches.
As expected, the event ended successfully through the concerted efforts of all the School Science Coordinators with the supervision of the District Science Coordinator Mrs. Jocelyn M .Reyes.
